Description: Martin Brodeur Signed 2003 Stanley Cup Game 2 Shutout Puck Steiner COA On June 9, 2003, the New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup for the third time in 8 years by defeating the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim 3-0 in Game 7 of the Finals. For Martin Brodeur, it was his 3rd shutout of the Finals, and 7th of the 2003 playoffs, which set an NHL record that still stands today. Brodeur’s other two Finals shutouts occurred in Games 1 and 2. Just 10 days later on June 19, 2003, Brodeur signed 15 official Game 1, 2, and 7 pucks to commemorate the Cup win and the shutout record in a private signing arranged by Steiner Sports. All of the signatures were made with a permanent silver paint pen in the same location on the puck and are very similar in terms of form, clarity, and quality to the one pictured. This listing is for one Official 2003 NHL Stanley Cup Game 2 puck signed on June 19, 2003 by Martin Brodeur. The puck is tagged on the back with a Steiner hologram and comes with a Steiner COA.
