Description: I found these vintage 1944-1945 Topeka High School report cards for Robert R. Jones in his estate in Evanston, Illinois. Robert grew up in Kansas. He ultimately moved his family to Chicago when he was offered the position of Editor at Industrial Research Magazine. His wife was author Dorothy V. Jones. I have other listings for Robert’s report cards so please take a look if you are interested. There is a lot for a different high school year, also one for Central Park School and Crane Junior High. For a bit more history, Robert R. Jones’ mother was Marie Carter, the great great granddaughter of the Potawatomi missionary Robert Simerwell. Her great grandmother was Elizabeth Simerwell Carter, the first white female born in Kansas. Items have some corner wear, surface wear, and stains.
