CED's were a unique movie/video format created by RCA and sold in the early-mid 1980's. There are various methods to clean CED discs and everyone has their preferred method. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you to open the caddy (very easy to open via the push tabs) and clean the disc with your preferred cleaning method PRIOR to attempting to insert the caddy into your CED player.
