Description: Large Natural Quartz / Amethyst Specimen on underlying rock. 220x140x105mm. 2.4kg. Please note that this is not my regular field. I have been advised that this is a Quartz / Amethyst specimen and is therefore being sold as such but if you know any different or have any doubts or comments, please let me know. Thank you. A large Natural Quartz / Amethyst Specimen measuring 220mm x 140mm x 105mm (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 4") and weighing 2.4kg (5 pounds and 4 ounces). The Quartz crystals have acquired an Amethyst hue, most noticeable towards the tips of the crystals at the top of the piece.The underlying / base rock that the Quartz has grown from feels like quite a dense heavy rock but on closer inspection there are also areas of quite small holes as if at some point it has been affected by heat. There is some evidence also - to the underside - of crystals protruding and had started to grow.No cracks or repairs are noted.
