Description: You're purchasing a vintage and original circa 1910 L & J.G Stickley signed even arm settle. Original catalog number 281. This large slatted, chunky post, mortise and tenon construction beauty features the fabulous tiger oak striped quarter sawn oak that the maker was famous for. It has it's original spring steel long cushion. The brown leather on the seat is quite worn and can be left as is or easily recovered. The original maker label is on the rear bottom left and reads "The work of L& J.G Stickley."Condition wise I'd say it's a 7 out of 10. There are some scratches, wear and a faded area to the finish on the back lower left (pictured). Overall though very nice. It presents very strong and is ready to be moved into your lovely home. I paid $5500 for this settle in 2004 and have priced it to acknowledge the softening of the arts and crafts market.
