And in 1936, a new home movie camera was announced which used film in magazines instead of rolls—the 16mm Magazine CINE-KODAK Camera. Easiest to load of all Eastman 16 mm. home movie cameras is Magazine Cine-Kodak. You simply slip in a magazine of film, close the cover of the camera, and shoot. You can change from black-and-white film to full-color Kodachrome without in any way damaging your films. Overall Condition: Camera and extras in good condition. Case is in poor condition. Acquired Via: Estate Sale Additional Information/Features: Age of Item: A specific manufacturing date cannot be determined however, in 1940 Kodak changed the configuration of the serial numbers and included two alphabetic characters in front of the serial number. Both the camera and the lens have serial numbers prior to this change indicating it was manufactured prior to 1940. The family claims the camera originally was owned by the famous Hollywood director - John Houston. It was given to Mr. Richards as a gift from John Houston's daughter - film actress Angelica Houston - who was a friend of the family.
