This ! was the Jerry Garcia release that I listened to the most ... and when I just 1st looked over all of these 2004 Remastered releases ( with the Bonus Tracks !! ) ... I just made that observation, and came to that very-conclusion ! So as you would expect ... I own/owned the LP ! - the Cassette ! - the CD ! .. and the Digitally Remastered CD !!! And ... I almost forgot - I even " own " the 8-Track ! Pretty impressive, right ? Not sure if this one was released on reel-to-reel tape - I assume it likely was, so ok - I'm not quite perfect on this one - but nice effort though, right ? Point being ... that's just how good this one is. And the thing is ... though the musicianship - studio compilations - effort - heart that is put into this one - by everyone that plays on it - it's the song-selection, and naturally ... the song writing that will getcha ! And believe me - Cheers ! to that ... because this release has affected my life - darn near from the get-go ! Plus, as you would hope & expect ... you get a serious taste of the Robert Hunter genius too - and ... you can never beat that. I mean just check out the ' Original ' Tracks on this release - all pristinely remastered - obviously ... Might As Well ! - Mission In The Rain ! - They Love Each Other ! - I'll Take A Melody ! - It Must Have Been The Roses ! - Tore Up Over You ! - Catfish John ! - Comes A Time ! Just a Beautiful ! mix of both originals & covers. And what really makes this particular " Remaster " very-very cool ... is that about half of these " Bonus Tracks " are real unique rarities - just check it out >>> Mystery Train - All By Myself - Oh Babe, It Ain't No Lie - You Win Again - and Orpheus ! So see ... even the very-serious ' Garciaphile ! ' will only likely recognize 3 of these - depending ... but - ' All By Myself ' and ' Orpheus ' being in the Ultra-Rare camp - for nearly anyone. So Yes ! ... it's like a Dream Come True nowadays ... as ' Reflections ' ?? - it actually managed to get Better !!! Which many ( including me ! ) thought was never a possibility.
