Description: Stanley No. 40 Sweetheart Scrub Plane Good User Made in The USA. Good solid plane. Tote & knob are both good, but missing a lot of the finish and have scratches dings and wear. The tote is worn mostly near top. Body has missing original finish. Light rust, scratches, dings and wear normal for age. Cutter will likely need sharpened. WE SHIP TO THE USA ONLY. A question came in about the nut on the tote being deep in the handle. I think the handle was drilled out to allow more thread engagement into body. The handle is solid and there are good threads into base (see last pic) but it does have slight movement. Maybe I'm over thinking this but I want to be upfront.
