This is a RETIRED and 1st Edition Spiritile that is hard to find! 1st Edition tiles are hand written on the back with the name and number on the back vs. having a stamp like the rest of the Spiritiles produced after the first few, which makes this tile rarer than others produced. The list price of current Spiritiles are $199. The creation process often feels like what Ernest Hemingway coined as "staring down the White Bull." Two dimensional white noise stares back at you, and it becomes tempting to leave the page as is. These spiritiles are made by hand with USA-sourced copper, glass enamel, and a custom wood box frame out of his studio in Atlanta, GA. Please note that when the copper topped with glass enamel are removed from the kiln, it is then rolled over with a rolling pin to create an effect called crazing.
