Description: These are chips/chunks about fist-sized and smaller of South Texas Mesquite that add a very nice flavor to your Barbecue or Smoker. I put about six of these pieces around outside of the lava rocks in my Propane gas fired grill, and when I'm done cooking, I spray them with water so they will stop smoking and I can use them next time. I fit them into a Flat-Rate Priority Mail Box that measures 11 7/8 X 3 3/8 X 13 5/8", and this can be shipped anywhere in the United States for $18.40 regardless of weight. This box usually weighs between ten and twelve pounds on my beam-balance bathroom scale, and will always weigh at least nine pounds, depending on the density of the mesquite chunks, and how dry they are. Smaller pieces of Mesquite wood are packed in the gaps between the larger pieces so the box is packed very solid. If you need smaller pieces for your smoker pan, just use a small hatchet and chop (and chase) away! This mesquite wood has not been sprayed with a herbicide so it is just natural wood. I've used a hatchet to remove the lighter colored sapwood and bark, leaving mostly sweet smelling heartwood. No International shipments. No shipments to Canada or Mexico.
