Description: This is a vintage undivided back postcard, postally used and postmarked 1919. Partial postmark because stamp has been removed. Postcard features a view of the Queen Mary's Shallop, a 41 foot British royal barge, built for Queen Mary II in 1689. The photo is from the Peace Pageant in 1919. The Queen Mary's Shallop led the pageant, carrying King George V and Queen Mary. It was the last event of the shallop. In 1930, it was offered to the proposed National Maritime Museum, and is currently in storage. Postcard may have normal wear associated with old postcards such as creases, stains and bent corners.
