Description: This is an almost new Granite Gear Arete climbing bag. It is size medium. As you can tell, it's got one large rucksack type compartment on the bottom and a compartment on the top that folds over it. It has a lot, LOT, of places to attach things to the outside. It's really a great pack. I bought it for my girlfriend, t's been used once, that's just one time. (I wish I hadn't removed the tags!) That doesn't seem to be enough to decide you don't like hiking and camping! But I digress. her loss is your gain. Top zipper is water proof but the pocket isnt so it seems pointless. Only has one main pack entrance so pack right. Love the flap on the back to strap on frequently used items. Overall great pack, I would recommend.Experience Level Sort of Experienced (Casual, Recreational Adventurer) JoshuaClemsonReview 1Votes 0Gender MaleAge 25 to 34★★★★★★★★★★5 out of 5 stars.· 4 years ago Great price, Great bag! This is a nice technical pack. I use it for approaches for climbing and even for some ultralight backpacking. This pack is supper light. Packs a lot for its size. The outer gear pocket thingy is super nice for a rope or a helmet. I even stuffed a tent in that thing one time. Overall It is very comfortable will handle a massive trad rack and keep you fresh, comfortable and ready for the climb. Also has a very handy top pocket to put stuff you might need often in. Definitely recommend.Experience Level Sort of Experienced (Casual, Recreational Adventurer) TimSaint JohnsburyReview 1Votes 0Gender Male★★★★★★★★★★5 out of 5 stars.·1 years ago RAWKS MY SAWKS OFFTHIS RUCKSACK RAWKS!!!
I was going to go on a week like hike with this, but the Guards said otherwise, so I went on a 2 day hike instead :-(
Anyways, the pack was very comfy :-D
There's this really big peice of soft foam on the back, and the shoulder straps are really great too.
I got everything I needed into it, and all of the compression straps made it feel as if it melded onto my back, forming (what the Borg from Star Trek described) a Collective.
It also saved my life. True Story. I had tripped over a root (it was dark, shaddup) and was stumbling down the trail but my pack screamed NO!!! and grabbed a branch and hurt me a tad, but saved me from a good From the United StatesThe Green Eagle5.0 out of 5 stars Nice day pack with big payload capacityReviewed in the United States on December 2, 2020This pack is really nicely designed, extremely comfortable, great looking, and is rated to 30 lbs. (some places say 25 lbs, but the tag on the pack says 30). This is a great day pack, but I could even see it working for ultralight backpacking. You can carry loads of gear on the outside, under the side compression straps, under the back cargo flap, under the lid, and under the lid compression straps...and tied to the daisy chains! For lighter loads, you don't even need the the hip belt. It folds up neatly behind the pack, under the cargo flap. For heavier loads, the hip belt takes almost all the weight and is very comfortable. The shoulder straps are contoured and very comfy too. Highly reccomended.
