Description: Here we have an absolutely incredible pre owned Gibson Custom Shop Class 5 Les Paul electric guitar. Tangerine Burst with a beautiful Flame Maple top. Made in Nashville, USA in 2002. The Les Paul Class 5 features a weight relived Mahogany body, Mahogany neck, 22- Rosewood fingerboard and of course that high grade flame Maple top. This beauty weighs an incredible 8lbs 4oz. A true mash up of USA and Custom Shop Historic features. It has the 60's slim taper neck profile, ABR1 bridge, Historic pickup rings, and a set of Burstbucker 2 & 3. The guitar comes with its original Custom Shop Art & Historic hard shell case, truss rod wrench, key, and paperwork. The guitar has just been setup by our technician with 10-46's and is playing great! The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod is working flawlessly. The frets are in very good shape with very minimal wear. The guitar plays cleanly up and down the fingerboard with no issues. There are no major divots on the frets. Tons of life left in them. Action is great and the guitar plays really really well. Cosmetically, the guitar is in very good condition. Typical play wear. There are some light pick swirls on the top on the treble side. Around the control knobs there are some light marks in the finish and some rings around the knobs. The top of the guitar has a few small indents. Mostly the size of a pen tip. Near the output jack there is one small gank on the edge. There is a small scuff on the face of the headstock near the G tuner. The back is mostly very clean with some light worming but nothing through the finish. For a 22 year old guitar, it is pretty clean. You can tell that is was played but not abused. Even the case is in excellent shape. If you are in the market for a pre owned Gibson Les Paul from the Custom Shop, this one checks all the boxes. The early 2000's were a great period for the Custom Shop. The tops on these guitars are just beautiful. This one needs a new home. Maybe it will be yours. Thanks for looking and happy buying!
