Description: It's been over a year since I've listed these and have had the opportunity to improve the design in many ways! The dip stick is offered in a traditional barb fitting on compression fitting. Both options are made from NYLON and are waterproof when installed correctly. The filter material is installed in the hose directly and can be removed and replaced as needed...I used to have a filter box I sold with these, but found it was just another thing the customer needed to install and increased costs of the kit and honestly performed exactly the same as filter material in the hose itself. Compression Fitting photos are limited and made to order, but if you order one it will be in the color of your choice. ALL DIP STICKS HAVE A BUILT IN DIRT/WATER TRAP IN THE EVENT DIRT OR WATER GET THROUGH THE FILTER MATERIAL/BREATHER THE DIP STICK ITSELF WILL PREVENT IT FROM FALLING INTO THE OIL UNLIKE OTHER VENTED DIPSTICKS, BUT THIS IS UNLIKELY BEING THE BREATHER SHOULD BE INSTALLED HIGH IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT KEEP IT AWAY FROM WATER AND DEBRIS...UNLESS YOU SUBMERGE THE MACHINE. Installation:Ensure your oil in the axle is up to standard in regards to oil level and oil change intervals.Install the dip stick of your choice (BARB or Compression) and tighten by hand until it is secure.Install the hose to the dip stick (Use the hose clamp with the BARB), if using the compression, you will need to install the hose through the separate compression fitting first and pull it through about an inch. Then insert the hose on the dip stick barb and screw the insert into the dipstick until snug by hand.Finally route the hose with the breather up into your engine compartment and zip tie it to a secure location of your choice.
