Description: A particularly fine English eighteenth century Chippendale three-tier 'dumb waiter' with three graduated revolving surfaces, each with gallery edge comprised of tiny gun barrel turned spindels and a moulded top rail. Turned and carved central column support, the whole raised on cabriole legs with foliate carved knees and ball-and-claw feet.Retains the original castors with leather wheels. Lovely figuring to the mahogany planks and a good original patina throughout. C. 1780 Various old repairs to the gallery edge and plank mahogany tiers as expectecd with a 250-year-old piece. Happy to arrange shipping and packing; the piece does dissemble for safe packing and transport.
