I say "faux" because this would not actually be engine/machine turned, but design would have been pressed into the metal.I have a photo of an original salesman card of this type of button, shown in last 3 photos. (not included). Funny, the card calls them "cloisonné" which isn't even close. Made by Toshin Trading Co, Tokyo Notice this innovative shank, company called "Flexible Hook", which retracts in and out for easy sewing I suppose. Fancy design on back too! 1&3/16". Not sure of age...best guess mid 20C. Last three photos show original salesman card, not included.
