Elgin Gold Filled Pocket Watch Mens 17J Open Face 12S RUNNING c1912 Antique

Description: I have up for sale a wonderful antique c1912 Elgin Warranted 25 Year Dueber Gold Filled Case Elgin 12S 17J Men's Open Face Pocket Watch . Its a very handsome watch , the back case has a gorgeous engraved design . The plating on the case is Excellent , the porcelain dial face is Excellent , and the watch runs. Its an old estate watch with no service record but it winds easily , sets as it should, and started right up . It has only been time tested for approx 48 hours and kept time within a few minutes. With that said I strongly suggest the buyer have it serviced just to be safe . The case measures approx 45.8mm diameter , obviously not including the stem and crown - just the circular part. The serial number on the movement is 16968481 , which dates the production to approx 1912 . Its a Pendant Wind and Pendant Set manual wind movement. The serial number on the case is 8401866 . I forgot to take a pic of the Dueber stamp but its the one with "Warranted - 25 Year " mark. This is a very nice watch , just needs a owner who will appreciate it . As stated I suggest that the movement be serviced not because I notice any issues , because I don't want there to be any issues and for good time keeping. The back is a screwback , as noted you have to place the back on just right for the threads to line up , then it screws on correctly . Its a little tricky to do this but if you take your time its not a big deal. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED -CONTACT ME ASAP - KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM. YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE.
