Early 1900s 2 Color Transferware Proverbes Plate by Saint Amand Et Hamage ~ B

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: The price is for one vintage French 2 color transferware plate. The plate was made by Saint Amand et Hamage around the early 1900s. This is from the series "Proverbes". The plates in the series had different views with a proverb at the bottom. The plate is a bi color plate with a blue transfer rim and a black transfer central view. This view is called "Le Pepie Vient en Mangeant". I do not speak French but my rough translation is "Pepie comes in eating". Has a scene of people eating. Almost Antique. Around 80-100 years old. Very good condition for age. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Typical stilt marks. Upon close inspection there is typical crazing. You may notice a few very light utensil marks and light wear when tilted toward the light. Beautiful example. Measures about 8" in diameter. Shipping total includes insurance, and delivery confirmation. BID WITH CONFIDENCE .
