It is not my intention to mislead with measurements but different items lay different ways (puffy jackets are harder to measure and there is a disparity possibly because they puff up and some shirts stretch beyond the measurements provided because they are designed to stretch on the body). The chest measurement is to help with fit up there but the actual waist of the overalls is measured by the widest area of the hip and that is what is used in the listing title as the waist!Overalls typically are supposed to be bought 4 inches above what you would normally wear in pants, do not use this to make your purchase decision but that is what is suggested.
