Description: A large plate or platter in silverplate inlay over brass, with a design of a Gondolier. This Mid Century Modern item has marks on underside: (building design)/ W/MF/ IKORA/ the W/MF logo & GERMANY. 27 cm (10 5/8") tall x 27 cm (10 5/8") wide x 4 cm (1 1/2") tall. The underside has three feet and the top one has a hanging unit. This item came from an estate in Manhattan with Roycroft and Dirk van Erp hammered copperware and a few pieces of Los Castillos inlaid objects. WMF is the Wurttembergische Metallwareenfabrik, founded in 1853. As noted, the platter is in good condition, minor wear and scratches, old tarnish.
