Description: Clare Creations Inc NYC Plush Stuffed 50’s Dachshund with Thorens Swiss Music Works For Sale is a rare plush stuffed Dachshund from Clare Creations. Clare Creations were designed by Clare Shapiro, a toymaker who started her own company in 1948. It was probably made in the 1950’s. Inside the dog is a “Genuine Thorens Swiss Music Works”. Although the music plays beautifully, I am not certain of the song. The body is approximately 12” and 15” from nose to tail. It’s about 6” wide and 6” tall at the head.Condition: The Dachshund is in great condition with nothing missing or any seams damaged. The fur is a light tan that is mottled with darker brown areas. She appears to have used this design feature before.
