The clock designed to give you 25 hours in a day by shaving 2.4 seconds off each minute with each minute lasting 57.6 seconds. Great Novelty item designed by Morton Rachofsky (1930-2019) and most likely influenced by Sigmund Freud who used the 50 minute psychoanalytical hour. The battery operated clock has a metal back and curved glass cover. The face is white with black markings, black hands and a red "second" hand. A paper label is attached to the inside back of the clock reading "Circadian Clock Co. PO Box 7806 Dallas Texas 75209 Pat. No. 4,541,726 MFG 390 By 0108 APR 1990". The clock requires 1 AA battery (not included). The metal portion of the clock has some scrapes and dents. The glass and face are in good condition. The clock runs with a battery but is untested and sold as-is with no returns. Please see photos.Morton Rachofsky was an innovative sculptor with a passion for creating rearrangeable and geometric works of art. As a businessman and inventor, Rachofsky’s analytical and mathematical background inspired his approach to sculpture. Rachofsky received a BBA from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Graduate School of Business. After serving in the United States Army in Korea, Rachofsky began a fifty-year career in real estate that would provide him with an outlet for his interest in architecture and geometric structures. While pursuing his passion for art in Dallas, Rachofsky studied alongside sculptor Octavio Medellín (founder of the Creative Arts Center of Dallas) at the Dallas Museum of Fine Art and later alongside sculptor James Surls at Southern Methodist University. In 1983, Rachofsky was elected the first president of the Texas Sculpture Association, an organization where sculptors can support one another and discuss new methods and techniques.Shipping includes packing and insurance covering amount of item cost, in the U.S., via UPS.
