Description: CHRYSOCOLLA ps MALACHITE ps AZURITE CRYSTALS - 2.5 cm - BISBEE, ARIZONA 28819 CHRYSOCOLLA ps MALACHITE ps AZURITE CRYSTALS - 2.5 cmBISBEE, ARIZONA This is a great example of a unique occurrences from Bisbee. The mines of Bisbee were well known for malachite after azurite pseudomorphs. This specimen altered once more to chrysocolla after the malachite. The thumbnail specimen features the tabular crystals all over the top of the specimen, with the bottom being a contact area. Some of the crystals perfectly maintain their sharp original form, while others were more affected by the alteration. Mines were closed in Bisbee almost 50 years ago (1975), so specimens are hard to find today. A previous collectors label will accompany the specimen to its new owner.
