Description: Beautiful copy of the rare 1973 revised edition of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, published by Knopf. The revision was in the illustrations of the Oompa Loompas, who were previously a sort of racist caricature. Much nicer in this version! Better for the kids! Still the same artwork and overall look. And a beautiful early copy with the psychedelic cover and all the original feel. This copy is gorgeous, as well. There is a bit of wear on the dustjacket but not bad at all. A small chip out of the bottom right and a couple of small edge tears but really quite striking and quite clean. The price is clipped and there is a name stamped on the opening blank page. Otherwise nearly perfect, with straight boards, strong binding, and clean crisp pages throughout. A beautiful copy.
