DETAILS: Case: ‘Sea King’ model. Smart and functional the bezel has angular lugs mounting the band. Original and signed BULOVA on the back. The all stainless steel case has been cleaned & repolished and fitted with a new acrylic crystal. In general the case looks great with only modest wear/scratches commensurate with the age of the watch. The watch is NOT waterproof. Crown: Original showing some wear. Dial: Immaculate, complementing the distinctiveness of the case, the silver tone dial with textured effect is in its original condition. The quarter hour positions are marked with bold, rectangular, raised markers with numerals printed centrally whilst the remaining hour positions are slender black stripes. The ‘Bulova’ name, ‘Sea King’, Whale logo, dial cross-hairs, minute chapter and ‘swiss’ are also in black. The hour positions along with the hands have not been relumed as they still glow well in the dark. There is a date window at the 3 o’clock position. Hands: Hour, minute and sweep second hands are original, steel, with a central black stripe. All in great condition. Movement: BULOVA Swiss manual & self-winding movement. This is a fine classic 11ANACD calibre with 17 jewels, marked ‘N0’ for 1970. The movement allows for both manual and self-winding. It is designed to prevent over-winding. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and at the time of listing is running well keeping good time ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended. Size: Round, measures approx. 32.90mm in diameter excluding the lugs and crown. Approx. 39.34mm lug to lug. Band: A new 18mm black leather band with silver tone buckle has been fitted complementing the timepiece perfectly. ________________________________________________________________________________ General comments: This is a delightful example of a Bulova ‘Sea King’ manual wind watch from 1970 which has been restored to appeal once again. The repolished case, with eye-catching silver tone dial make the watch highly attractive and very noticeable indeed.
