Description: The Hannibal Lecter Neoregelia bromeliad averages 16" - 20" across is a mid-sized bromeliad with colorful, broad, stiff, arching leaves forming an upright rosette. Its beautiful green leaves are marked with dark reddish, brown banding. The leaf tips are tinted reddish-bronze. The Neoregelia 'Hannibal Lecter' is a cross of punctatissma x carcharodon 'Tiger'. This hybrid is can tolerate full sun conditions if moved gradually into the sun. It's coloring varies greatly depending on the lighting conditions. Epiphytic Bromeliads prefer a well-drained, moist sphagnum soil with regular watering and high humidity. It prefers filtered sun to partial shade and requires enough water to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. You can apply a slow release fertilizer in Spring when active growth starts. Over time and as the plant grows and matures, it will reward you with pups allowing you to grow your bromeliad collection. This bromeliad can be grown both indoors/outdoors. It will thrive outdoors, but should be brought indoors when temperature goes below 50° The plant will be shipped with bare roots to reduce shipping charges. Its roots will be kept moistened and wrapped for transit. HEAT PACK: When purchasing plant(s) during the winter months consider purchasing a heat pack to further protect from freezing temperatures - https://www.ebay.com/itm/375628733442?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nukrj8yottw&sssrc=2380676&ssuid=nukrj8yottw&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
