The red soft-touch handle of the kettle is not only beautiful, it is also very comfortable to use. (There is also a red soft touch handle on the removable glass lid of the kettle.) This Brandani tea kettle has another neat attribute: it whistles louder the more water you ask it to heat! This tea kettle is for someone who is very serious about their tea! It measures 9” from the spout to the opposite side of the kettle. The kettle itself is 5” tall (when you don’t include either the glass lid or the red soft-touch handle). It is 8” tall when you include the handle in the measurement. The kettle will hold 3 quarts of liquid. It weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces plus the weight of packing material. This gently used tea kettle is in nice shape. There are only a few minor marks on the stainless steel pot. The large red soft-touch handle has a defect but it does not detract from the functionality. There are no dents in the brushed stainless steel. The glass lid and its handle are free of any chips or cracks. Please see photos. Note: What’s the difference between a tea pot and a tea kettle? A tea kettle is used to heat water for tea and a teapot is what you use to steep tea. Either can be used to make tea. You typically heat water in a tea kettle and then pour this water into a prepared teapot.
