Description: AUCTION DESCRIPTION: Bradley & Hubbard (B & H) Victorian Single Draft Brass Matched Pair Kerosene Table Lamps Style: Radiant Model Number 5 Patented August 16, 1888 Production: December 31, 1895 This sale is for a pair of matched brass plated Bradley and Hubbard kerosene single draft table lamps that are approximately 129 years old and have been tucked away in my grandmother’s belongings that I acquired around 1966. I have been a lamp and bookend collector for over 50 years and now selling all but a few furniture items, for my wife and I are downsizing to a senior’s home. This pair has very little issues mostly pertaining to a few small dings on the fonts, and a small oxidation spot next to the wick riser arch, but are not very noticeable since the high gloss finishing hides a lot of the small impressions. They both have shade spiders that accommodate 10” diameter shades. They are absent of wicks and chimneys, however the wick riser cranks function properly. After market shades, chimneys, and wicks are available from several on line sources. Great pair to restore to working kerosene burners or possibly easily converted to electric with socket kits also available on line. Guaranteed to be old and not a modern day production! Specifications: 8.00’ inch wide font 11.00” inch high from base to top of shade holder. Upside appreciation for this lamp will be very good.
