Darnall Daley, Jr. during the 16 years (1986 – 2002) that he was the Council Commissioner for the Hawk Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of American. It was first published in the October 1991 issue of the Herbie Hawk News, a monthly newsletter of the Hawk Mountain Council. In this poem the Scout’s mother laments that he has grown up.
