Blakeman & Henderson Limoges Floral Porcelain Charger w/ Turquoise & Gilt Brim

Description: Up for sale is an Antique Floral Porcelain Charger Plate Made in France by Coiffe and Decorated by Blakeman & Henderson. Circa 1891-1914. The charger features a gorgeous floral transfer pattern including 6 patches of pink flowers with green leaves and a circle of small blue flowers with gilt pinstripe. The charger also has a beautiful scalloped brim with a nice blue/turquoise color and gold gilt. The base has 2 marks. There is a green printed star mark that reads "LIMOGES / FRANCE" This mark was used by Coiffe between 1891-1914. The second mark is a red printed mark that reads "LIMOGES / B & H. / FRANCE" This mark was used by Blakeman & Henderson in the 1890s. There is wear to the transfer pattern throughout including the motif in the center, the blue flowers and gold pinstripe around them as well as the pink flowers. The blue/turquoise and gold gilt around the brim have light wear as seen in the photos. Otherwise the charger is in good condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. Overall the piece still displays beautifully. Measurements are approximately:12" Diameter.7 1/4" Base Diameter.1 1/2" Tall to Brim.
