Description: Here is a Bing & Grondahl Blue Traditional (Blamalet) Oval Serving Dish, Number 39. It is a rare and wonderful piece with the famous blue fluted or musselmalet motifs expertly painted with the underglaze technique. The piece is factory second quality in excellent used condition. The dish was made and hand painted in Denmark in the period 1962-1970. The dish measures approximately 9 inches long, 5 7/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. The dish has no chips or cracks or repairs. There is some light scratching / utensil marks on the surface of the dish (see final 2 photos in particular). There is a stay paint mark on outside surface of the dish (see 10th photo). This helps explain the factory second designation. I see no other apparent issues or defects. It is a lovely piece that deserves its place in any collection. Please examine the photos and description and reach out with any questions!Carefully packaged in non-smoking, no pets household, and shipped with Priority Mail.
