Description: This is a Bark River Final Run Grizzly hunting knife in CPM 3V tool steel with a 9 1/2” blade. It has dark curly/tiger maple scales, red liners, and three mosaic pins securing the scales to the tang. Bark River made two runs of these knives in collaboration with Dark Timber Knives, after which Bark River made one Final Run without DTK's involvement. This is one of the Final Runs. I'm sure I used the knife to cut some paper, but it hasn't been used outdoors. The edge is original. No cracks in the handle. The Final Runs were shipped with a less elaborate sheath. If you look at past sales of Final Run blades, you can see what the original sheath looked like. I liked the fancier sheath that came with the first two runs, so I picked one up. It is the black sheath pictured in the photos. This leather sheath appears black because it was treated with a waterproofing compound by the retailer, either Knives Ship Free or DLT Trading. Anyhow, the sheath has not been used and, as a result, the waterproofing compound still fills tacky/greasy. If I were going to use the sheath I would give it a good rubdown to remove any residue and dry it out. No box is included but a replacement box is available through Bark River Knives. Bark River stands behind its products and provides warranty service if it is needed. It also offers a "spa service" where it it will clean up knives that have been used; the details are available on their website.
