Description: Jennings Brothers Metal Native American Indian Hunter & Dog Bookends Pair of cast metal bookends by Jennings Brothers Mfg, c. Early 20th Century. Dating to 1928. Each bookend is sculpted of hollowed bronze or spelter, showing a Native American Indian Scout crouching on a rock ledge with his hunting dog. Titled, “Awaiting the Prey”. The back and underside of the Pair is unsigned or marked. They measure 6.5” Height x 5.5” Length x 4.5” Width. Gold finish with a beautiful patina. These Art Deco bookends will make a fine addition to any collection, to be used as bookends or sculptural pieces on their own. Condition is overall good for their age. One bookend has some cracking on the flat wall. The other has an exposed base. Please see photos.
