Art Deco 18ct Yellow & White Gold Ring W/ Natural Diamond & Sapphire

Description: Art deco 18ct Yellow & White Gold Ring W/ Natural Diamond & Sapphire - Size L Solid 18ct yellow and white gold No visible hallmarks as they have been worn away with use of the ring. The ring is in very decent condition for its age. It has visible wear and some finer scratches. The ring style is a ring band. This ring is Australian made, handmade and it is estimated to date to around the late 1920s. The main stones are paste sapphires and the secondary stones are natural diamonds. Each stone has been tested and they were all of the diamonds were confirmed to be natural and free from any colour enhancements. The sapphires were confirmed to be paste which is a type is leaded glass. They are mimicking sapphires. The diamonds are mostly all modern cut diamonds. One is an older European cut. This mix of diamonds was common on cheaper end rings to help with costs of making it as the diamonds were likely secondhand at the time. There is a total estimated carat weight of 0.07cts for the diamonds. The paste sapphires have a total carat weight of approximately 0.10cts. No chips or cracks on any of the stones. The paste sapphires are worn down and rounded which is quite common with paste as it’s fairly soft. No stones are loose in their settings. The gold purity of this ring has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 18ct yellow and white gold. (75.0% purity) The ring has had its sides shaved down. The hallmarks have completely worn away. There is visible wear all over this ring. The ring has had no other modifications made to it. The ring has not been resized. Would suit a stackable ring set. Could be worn on its own too. The ring is comfortable to wear. The ring has an inside diameter of 16.3mm. An Australian size L. Ring band width is 1.0mm. Ring band thickness is 1.1mm. The face of this ring is 2.0mm in width and it sits at a maximum height of 2.4mm. In perfectly wearable condition. Will be posted with a ring box.
