Description: Lovely antique butter dish lid (lid only) in the classic wheat and hops motif. This piece is circa 1850-1854, and does show some crazing and discoloration commensurate with age. It's a fabulous example of the highly collectible early white ironstone, and would be lovely used as intended, as a dish cover, but would also be striking as a wall hanging or other decor. The molding is delightful, with woven hop stems forming the handle. Made in England. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
