The dish features three different alternating ribbons in a slightly swirl pattern. The main ribbon color is pink and gold that sparkles when the dish is turned towards a light source. The other two ribbons are white in color, but if you study the photographs, you will note that they each have a different pattern. The rim of this dish is softly scalloped. The dish has an applied clear glass foot on the bottom. Our example is thinner than many examples being made and sold in more recent years. We believe it was made in the early 1920’s, but please examine all the photographs to decide the age on your own. As with earlier blown glass, small bubbles are common. These are not considered flaws, but we do mention them for accuracy. The dish sounds off a bell tone resonance when it is lightly tapped at the rim with a finger or pencil. This is a wonderful piece to add to your Italian art glass collection or to start something new!
