Description: Dramatic Victorian buckle bracelet decorated with beads and engraved with ivy leaves. Lovely to look at and to wear. This piece was as found in an estate from a century home. As the pictures depict, this hasn't been cleaned or polished. We will leave that for the new owner. There are two separate hallmarks in the interior. A few of my photos show them. As researched - Buckle bracelets were popular in Victorian England as the queen was a member of the Order of the Garter. Since she couldn't wear the garter on her leg as no one would see it, she wore it on her arm. The bracelet is marked for Birmingham 1883. This piece measures 1" wide, the interior dimensions are 1 7/8" x 2.1/4". It appears to be in very nice condition. The latch works well and I see no flaws or concerns other than again, a cleaning is necessary. Please see and enlarge all photos and email with any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
