There is a secret drawer and multiple cubby holes. The accompanying key does not work in the lock, but functions as a knob for lifting the writing surface to access the storage space beneath it. The finish is in excellent condition and the Lap Desk shows minimal wear. The writing surface material is an older replacement and is in fair to good condition.
