Description: This toleware tray was hand painted and then over the generations it has been varnished to preserve the art work. The tray has a base of a composite material, not sure what it is. The bottom of the tray is a mellow white, aged to almost yellow. The hand painted flowers and scrolls are very well done. The tray does have signs of age: there are a few chips to the edge of the tray which have been repainted. There are no cracks and the tray is completely functional. Measurements are: 24 7/8" handle to handle by 14 7/8" and 1" tall.
