Description: Very old field or kitchen knife from the beginning of the 20th century, 1900-1930, made in Sheffield England, high quality carbon steel blade, very sharp, with even wear from use, sealed still visible: ALTO...... , SHEFFIELD MADE, most likely manufactured by Hunter or S.Kitchin of Sheffield, most were manufactured by these factories, the handle is original, and is the most beautiful part of the knife, brown horn handles with german silver appliqués from a scene from hunting on both sides, it is rare to find them glued together due to their age, it has flaws, see photos, but both sides are still quite complete, , the horn has typical details from the passage of time and some insect holes, but everything is very firm. The seath is current, of excellent quality, custom made by hand, black cowhide leather body and parts in german silver, matching the handle, very nice knife!!! Measurements: Knife: 31.5 cm (12.6in).
