Beautifully hand painted silhouettes of a nymph figure sneaking up on a lady, reminiscent of the style of Carl Raedler and Fidus and the Four Seasons. We haven't seen one like this before. It measures approximately 3 3/4" dia x 2 3/8" tall. There are a couple small nics around the match holder opening. See photos. It is marked with a beehive (shield) with a dot, for Erdmann Schlegelmilch who started using this mark in 1891.
