Description: Store Item: Antique American 18th/19th Century Chippendale Tall Case Grandfather Clock Description: Fine example of a Early American Eight Day Tall Case Clock made circa in the Late 18th to Early 19th Century. Broken bonnet with inlays, three urn shaped finials, arched glazed dial door flanked by columns. Unsigned original painted iron dial with Roman dial numerals, four spandrel areas decorated with floral designs. A lunar calendar or moon phrase in the arch of the dial. Chippendale thin waist resting on base with ogee bracket feet. Clock includes weights, pendulum, key and winder. Condition Report: Good Overall appearance. Face has original paint and moon dial, face has some paint flaks and yellowing of the dial, case has some age splits and missing inlay, finials more than likely not original, The clock has not been tested and we do not guarantee the working conditions of clocks and highly recommend hiring a professional clock person to clean, service and install the clock after delivery.
