Description: Travel back in time with this antique acoustic parlor guitar. There are no maker marks on it, so I do not know who the maker is. If you recognize the maker, please let us know! From its looks, I'm guessing it's from the 1920s or so. 12-3/4" lower bout. 24-1/4" scale length. 1-7/8" nut. Soft v-profle neck. Rosewood 'board. Cosmetically, it looks good. There is lacquer checking on the front body. There are scuffs and scrapes on the neck, back, and sides, but it's been cared for. There is a long hairline grain crack that go from the bass side of the tailpiece to the soundhole. It apparently does not go all the way through the top. The tuners are vintage replacements with replaced parts. The tuners are a bit squeaky, but work just fine. The top is bound. Fancy checker binding around the top and sound hole too. Functionally, it plays. However, the 12th fret action is high, between 11/64" and 6/32". So... it could use a neck reset to bring it back to musical life. The top isn't warped. The neck is fairly straight. With its good cosmetics and bones, it's a good candidate for restoration. The original bridge was shaved down mercilessly. It is included. I put a slightly taller bridge on it. It comes with a bunch of modern stuff: pitch pipe, picks, capo, and a strap. It comes in a modern black chipboard case. The handle, latches, and hinges work. The case is a bit big for the guitar, but does protect it. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46"x19"x7" stout cardboard instrument box.
