Description: This item is a souvenir from the Annual Firemen’s Celebration made by Schwaab S. & S. Co., Milwaukee, WI The Schwaab story begins in 1881 with a focus on metal engraving, primarily making badges. In 1888 the company changed their name to Schwaab Stamp & Seal Co. The list of the companies accolades under this name is substantial - including World’s Fair tokens, Presidential inauguration tokens and a token commemorating the first sheet steel rolled (which we also have for sale). It is still an active company today. The Badge/Pendant has two loop holes at top (one on either side) to easily attach to a chain or cord. Marking on back reads, “SCHWAAB S. & S. CO. / MILWAUKEE”. Measures 2 x 1.5”. Made of brass.
