The first type of order was made in the USSR , in Leningrad mint in 1979. Just about 130 persons managed to award this order.! The badge of the order is a rectangular gilded plate, in the center of which on red enamel background there is a relief gilded image of the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan ( sample 1978),and the inscription “ HALK”(in Persian) -PEAPLE.
