The “NYCE Manufacturing Co. was a postcard company out of Vernfield, Pennsylvania that offered generic pennant cards. Salesmen traveled the country and offered designs to local businesses that would buy the cards to sell whether they matched the town or not. They just had the name of the city or town added to the design. People did not travel that far at the time and did not know the difference, and it was an era when people actually sat down to write, because communication technology did not exist. This card for a generic “Bernfield” offers prices for their line of “Colored Local Lover Pennants” and is in excellent condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image and reverse.
