Description: 42 Cassette Lot #ADS: Easy Listening and Jazz - Pop, Vocals, Big Band, Piano, Etc. - Sold As-Is Mostly nice looking batch of easy listening and jazz music audio cassettes. I did not play-test these cassettes. They all look playable, but it is quite possible that one or more may present problems when played. This lot of cassettes is being sold as-is. The condition of the cassettes varies slightly, but all look pretty good. Their pressure pads are still in place. The artwork inserts look good. (The short Reader's Digest sampler cassette has no art work.) The plastic cases have some handling and storage scuffs/marks, but all are functional with no significant damage. A few of the cases have cracks, but no major breaks. I should point out that The Smithsonian Classic Jazz tapes included are just 3 of the volumes of a 5 volume set. Please see the photos for the best understanding of condition. These cassettes will be packed well for safe shipping. -------------------------------------------------------What To Do If A Tape Doesn't Play Well: If you play a lot of old audio cassette tapes, you probably already know this. The cassettes are little machines and machines sometimes need a little maintenance. FAST FORWARD/REWIND: Before playing an old cassette for the first time, it's a good idea to make sure the tape on the spools is wound evenly. It's a good idea to fast forward the tape all the way to the end and then rewind it all the way to the beginning to eliminate unevenness in the tape on the reel. If you don't do this for every cassette, at least do it if the tape seems to be dragging when played. PRESSURE PAD MAINTENANCE: The felt pressure pad beneath the tape at the center of the cassette plays a role beyond its size. Always inspect the cassette to make sure the pressure pad is in place and aligned properly. Sometimes you'll know the pressure pad has come loose because the tape just doesn't sound good when being played. The adhesive that holds the pad on the metal spring can let go after a while. The vibrations and jolts involved in shipping cassettes in the mail can help loosen pressure pads that are just barely hanging on. If the pressure pad has come loose, find a pair of tweezers and some glue. (If the pressure pad is lost, you might have to find one to use in an old useless cassette.) Use something flat (like one of the tweezer levers) to lift the leader tape up enough to get it out of the way. Hold the pad with the tweezers with the non-felt side down. Apply a very small amount of glue to the non-felt side of the pad and carefully place the pad on the tension spring where it belongs. Press lightly and fuss with the pad a bit to get it aligned properly. Let the cassette sit for a while to allow the glue to dry.---------------------------------------------------- It may be easier to find what you're interested in if you browse by Store Category in my Ebay Store.*************************************************************** Y O U R Q U E S T I O N S I M A G I N E D & A N S W E R E D****************************************************** ******** I m p o r t T a x e s / F e e s F o r I n t e r n a t i o n a l B u y e r s For items to be delivered outside of the USA, buyers should be aware that any customs fees / taxes that are required by your government are your responsibility and are not covered by the cost of the item or the shipping charges. S h i p m e n t S a f e t y I promise to pack your item securely, no matter what it is. Everything I ship gets packed well, so don't worry about a thing. If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person. W h a t a b o u t c o m b i n e d s h i p p i n g f o r m u l t i p l e i t e m s ? When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required. For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount. Some items are not compatible for combined shipping. Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense. A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping. Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.I reserve the right to limit the number or total value of items that I'm willing to send in a single package. For international sales I use ebay's international shipping program. Combined shipping depends on the ebay shipping program rules in place at the time of shipment. It is possible that no combined shipping discount is available for international orders. ************* End of long-winded answers to hypothetical questions ***********
