Description: Rare Original Color T.W. Ingersoll 1905 Stereo View Cards photos taken during the Russian-Japanese War - lot of 41 Our first photo above gives a very perfect idea of what ten of the 41 stereo view cards in this lot look like. All are numbered and captioned front and back and are copyright 1905 by famous stereo photographer Truman Ward Ingersoll. The pictures are nicely colored and look very realistic in the stereoviewer we used to look at them. They show a wide variety of circumstances of soldier life during the war, but almost all show it from the Japanese perspective. The cards all have copious, long paragraphs on the back describing the picture on the front side, containing a lot of history of events, casualties, fortifications, military gear, etc. This is a stack of 3-½ x 7 inch cards, 1 inch thick containing 41 different antique stereo view cards. The numbers in this lot are: 101, 104, 105, 106, 112, 113, 114, 115, 118, 119, 122, 124, 131, 132, 135, 140, 147, 151, 152, 153, 155, 156, 157, 162, 163, 164, 168, 169, 173, 175, 176, 177, 179, 180, 181, 184, 187, 188, 191, 192, 195, and 196. The condition of the 115+ year old T.W. Ingersoll stereo photo cards is very good. They are flat, brightly colored, and only one or two have cracks in them and we have tried to show as many as possible. We do not have more stereo view cards of the Russo-Japanese War, this is all we ever had. Our photos show only the actual lot that we are offering for sale. We have been selling rare and collectible military items for more than forty-five years (25 years on eBay!) and have received over 6200 positive feedback responses from satisfied customers! Have a look at a boxed set of consecutively numbered World War I Keystone view cards, also in our eBay store! CONDITION: exactly as shown, no odor. QUESTIONS: we do not accept returns so if you have any questions about this listing, be sure to ask before you click the Buy It Now button, NOT after you have purchased the lot. You are responsible for reading the full item description, including shipping costs and accepted payment methods. SHIPPING: this lot will be shipped in a sturdy mailer and we are happy to combine shipping of multiple items. We will refund overpayment of postage as soon as a combined order has been shipped. FOREIGN BUYERS: we ship to most foreign countries at additional cost, however all foreign customers are responsible for any VAT payments, import duties and customs clearing fees. International buyers are required to submit their telephone number along with their shipping address. DELIVERY: we photograph every parcel we ship by USPS or by the public carrier specified by the buyer. We e-mail that photo and any applicable tracking number to the buyer as proof of mailing or shipping. Delivery responsibility is then in the hands of the USPS or of any other public carrier selected by the buyer, and does not involve Rapidapolis in any way. Communications about, and responsibility for the delivery to the buyer must be between the buyer and the public carrier, and can not include Rapidapolis on eBay. RETURNS: because of eBay’s approach to returns nowadays we no longer represent anything as being suitable for use for any specific purpose. We sell everything as a surplus curio or relic “as is-where is”, with no implied or other warranties of any kind given, and which may or may not be useful for its original or intended purpose. What you see is what we have photographed and what we will ship. RAPIDAPOLIS has a long history of selling on eBay since 1999, and of customer satisfaction with the items we sell and with our shipping. We encourage buyers to examine our listings carefully, review our many thousands of feedbacks and buy with confidence.
