I do not use stock photos or photos of other people’s items.This is a rare one of a kind brass and wood table top display or wall hanging. It is hand tooled and die cut brass housing a piece of wood behind glass all in the shape of a building facade and doorway, possibly a mosque. At the top on both sides are upward crescents with five pointed stars topped by circles. The Ottoman caliphate used a similar star and crescent (no circle) on a stamp issued in 1909. See last photo, not included. There are a hald dozen other stars in the design with six to twelve points and five half stars plus the rising star arch at top. The remainder of the design is a variety of chevrons and circles. I cannot find anything similar and will be going out on a limb with the rest of this description. Please feel free to message me if you have information. It may be a piece of original wood from the door or other part of the building depicted, "sealed" behind glass in the brass frame. (It is sealed with six screws reverse I have not removed.) It is about 3 3/4" tall, 3 1/4" wide and 3/4" thick. Weight is over 8 ounces. There are no marks or actual writing, just the iconography. Significant flaws not depicted in the photos are described here-with, minor flaws and normal wear are not. Unless the item is described as new, assume there will be minor flaws or wear commensurate with a used item of given age. If Free Shipping is offered it will be by the cheapest method possible, for books that will be Media Mail.
