Description: Condition is New, Open Box. Rare! 25 Hour LED Xtraour Digital Clock - AM PM Desk Table Extra Hour. Numbered 32/100 (Pictures of the clock in use were taken of an opened display unit at the original auction where this was acquired.) Xtraour Combined 24/25 Hour Clock. The brainchild of a Dallas, TX sculpture artist and inventor, Morton Rachofsky, this patented clock works by shortening the length of each second by a miniscule amount so that each 60-minute hour is actually completed in 57.6 minutes. This manipulation results in an additional 57.6 minutes of time each day that makes up "the 25th hour." Originally released in an analog wall version, the 25 hour clock was later released in a limited digital run of 100 units. This unit is an original, special, numbered and limited-edition digital version of this unusual timepiece. It features dual displays made up of old-school large 7-segment LEDs. The upper display shows the traditional 24-hour day time with selectable AM/PM or 24-hour display modes, and the corresponding 25-hour time is shown below. At noon each day the times sync up. The clock is "housed in a hand fabricated case of oiled Padauk wood and measures 5 inches high, 7 inches wide and 3 inches deep. As shown in the pictures, this item is in new condition and was acquired in Dallas from the personal collection of the inventor. The box was sealed up to its opening for the purposes of this listing.
